Association proceedings and Commission dockets are public. Copies of every document referenced on this page are available for inspection at our Grissom Avenue office during business hours, by appointment, in the front room, with a representative present.¶
† Formal Recognition is the Association's docketing term for a censure. Each of the five entries above reflects a censure of Thatherton Fuels, four of which carried a period of probation. All probationary periods have concluded. Thatherton Fuels holds a current license in the State of Texas and has never had that license suspended, which is the only thing that actually stops a truck.
‡ The 1997 Individual Citation was issued to M.F. Thatherton personally for lewdness and conduct unbecoming a propane salesman. Mr. Thatherton remains the only person to have received this citation in the history of the Commission. He describes it as a record and declines to characterize it further.
§ Reinstatement to good standing follows a removal from good standing. The removal was in 2005 and related to a bid submitted below the low bid on a municipal contract.
¶ Inspection appointments are scheduled through the office. As of this writing, four appointments have been requested and two were kept.
No other dealer in Heimlich County has been recognized by the Association as often as Thatherton Fuels.
Current Texas license, continuously held since 1989. Never suspended.
FIRST! M.F. remains the only recipient in Commission history.
Front room, by appointment. Bring your own copies of nothing, we have it all.
